OAD Assessment:

The Key to Unlocking Your Organization’s Potential

The Organizational Analysis and Design (OAD) Assessment is at the heart of DBAJTL Leadership Consulting. OAD is more than just a tool; it’s a proven methodology that leads to profound insights and lasting transformation.

How it Works

Completing the assessment takes just 5-7 minutes, with no preparation required. Participants are shown a list of adjectives and select the ones that best apply to them. There are no right or wrong answers – because there are no questions. Just self-descriptive adjectives that are most relevant to the individual participant.
The assessment measures personality across four relative traits:
  • Assertiveness
  • Extroversion
  • Patience
  • Detailed Orientation
Additionally, OAD measures three trait modifiers:
  • Versatility Level: A measure of behavioral adaptability.

  • Emotional Control: A scale between empathy and logic in decision-making.

  • Creativity: A measure of reliance on conventional thinking when creating a solution.

The Results

The report data is also a first step toward unlocking each participants success in their current or future role.

Each OAD report includes an in-depth analysis. The analysis covers two main areas of insight:

  1. The Standard Constructs: This includes the four relative traits and three trait modifiers mentioned above.
  2. Perceived Job Behaviors: Using the same relative traits and modifiers, this provides a snapshot of how the participant currently feels they need to act in their job.
As a trained OAD consultant, I’m able to analyze these two reports together to look for alignment and engagement hindering issues such as such as under-and over-utilization, micro-management, and resignation risk.
Finally, the report includes actionable insights into the participant’s workplace needs and motivational triggers, which highlight the environmental conditions that help the participant thrive or hold them back.
Clients who work with me using the OAD Assessment can expect to receive:
  • In-depth insights into organizational engagement and alignment.

  • Action steps to optimize leadership and team structures to drive forward success.

  • Enhanced teamwork that boosts cross-functional coordination.

Each participant’s response creates an individualized OAD Assessment report. The report includes a table – like the one shown here – that plots the participant’s traits and trait modifiers. Understanding these aspects, and where they sit in relation to each other, puts into words what many participants have always known, but had been unable to express.
